Lake Federal Bank, FSB is a Federally charted savings bank. Lake Federal began its operations in a limited facility in the Hessville area of Hammond in January 1957. The main office moved to its current location at the corner of 171st and Kennedy Avenue in 1963. Lake Federal began offering banking services in the community through its attentive personnel whose primary objective was, and still is, helping individuals manage their assets as effectively as possible.

We continue our commitment to increase the level of banking services we offer. In May 1998, Lake Federal opened its second full service office at the Highland Grove Shopping Center in Highland, Indiana. In June 2008, Lake Federal opened its third full service office at the corner of St. Route 231 and Parrish Avenue in St. John Indiana. All of our banking products and services can be obtained at any of our offices, except for our Main Office which does not offer safe deposit boxes.

Lake Federal is managed by a seven member board of directors. The board consists of business people with a wide range of professional and business backgrounds who have personal or business ties to the local communities we serve.
